Michael J. Lockerby is a partner with Foley & Lardner LLP, where he is a member of the Privacy, Security & Information Management Practice Team. Michael’s areas of practice include Cybersecurity, Security & Information Management, Antitrust, Appellate, Distribution & Franchise, IP Litigation, Patent Litigation, Privacy, Trade Secret Noncompete Litigation, and Trademark, Copyright & Advertising Litigation.
Michael is the former co-chair of the firm’s Washington, D.C. Litigation Department, and has served as a trial lawyer for the past 29 years. The industries in which he has litigated are vast, and include computer hardware and software, telecommunications and other high technology products.
Michael has been Peer Review Rated as AV® Preeminent™, the highest performance rating in Martindale-Hubbell's peer review rating system. Michael earned his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law and his B.A. from the University of North Carolina. He is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia, and before the U.S. Supreme Court, the Virginia Supreme Court, and several U.S. Courts of Appeals.
